Overview

Day 1 : Calicut

Arrival at Calicut, The hub of Northern Kerala. The town has its history and Charm- Kappadu Beach is an hour away – where the sailor Vasco de Gama has first landed in India. commonwealth still has its office there. The Sweet Meat street at the heart of the city provides a great strolling experience. A quaint Kerala town with extremely courteous and Honest People. Transfer to Kadavu Resorts. Rest of the day free at the resort or a stroll through the Calicut Town. Overnight stay.

Day 2 : Calicut – Wayanad (70 kms/2 hrs)

Breakfast. Drive uphill to Wayanad. Stop at the chain tree enroute. A Mythical legend behind, the metal chain bound on the tree seem to grow along with the tree! On arrival Check in at ‘After the Rains’ Forest Resort. Afternoon proceed on a Wild life safari to see the flora and Fauna of the region. Overnight stay.

Day 3: Wayanad

Breakfast. Go on a Village Tour where You get to know the Village lifestyles, traditions and livelihoods. Back to the Hotel. Rest of the day free to indulge in resort activities. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Wayanad – Tellicherry (180 kms/5 hrs)

Early Breakfast and Drive to Tellicherry, enroute visiting Tirunelli temple. The deity is Maha Vishnu. The spring here is believed to cure you of all your sins and also Called Papanasini, literally meaning so. Drive on Arrive Tellicherry and Late Lunch at the Ayisha Manzil. Rest of the day free at the Boutique Stay. Overnight stay.

Day 5: Tellicherry

Breakfast. The day goes as arranged by the host. The visits will include those to Muzhuppilangadi- the only drive inn beach of Kerala, a lively Market and other local splendours including a ritualistic temple performance if we go Lucky. At Ayisha Manzil Join hands with the house chef to prepare your meal – one of the Northern Kerala Delicacies’ which is special. Overnight stay.

Day 6: Tellicherry – Trichur (200 kms / 5 hrs)

Breakfast. Drive to Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala – Enroute Lunch at Sopanam School of Panchavadyam – formed to support the rich Folklore culture along River Nila, otherwise would have died it’s natural death. Meet with the people behind, enjoy a live demonstration by the inhouse Artists l teachers. Drive on and check in at Hyatt Regency. Overnight stay.

Day 7: Trichur

Breakfast. Proceed on to see the Artisans who crafts the Elephant Caparisons and other festival related decorations. During the day You shall also visit Cherpu co operative Society who is formed to empower local women who is now engaged in making handicrafts and miniatures of the local musical instruments and ritual Folkloric Masks. Overnight stay.

Day 8: Trichur – Kochi (85 kms/2 ½ hrs)

Breakfast. Leave for Cochin. The commercial Capital of Kerala. On arrival check in at Brunton Boatyard. After noon proceed a Guided Ethnic Tour of Old Kochi. Take a tuk tuk – the most popular mode of transport among the localities, drive through the small streets of Mattanchery, and arrive at the Fruit market on Palace road where locals get a variety of fresh and organic produces at bargains prices. Visit the Jewish Synagogue and the Dutch palace. Make a pause and have one “meter tea” at one of the tea stall. There is now an opportunity to interact with a Brahmin Family. The Brahmin are the highest of the four Hindu castes of priests and scholars of Vedic literature, their traditional occupation is to conduct rites at marriages, births and other auspicious occasion.Proceed back to Fort Kochi, visit the St.Francis CSI Church, the oldest European church in India built in 1503, where the Portuguese explorer Vasco de Gama was originally buried and pass by the finest Santa cruz Basilica. View sunset with the background of Chinese Fishing Nets. Overnight stay.

Day 9: Cochin – Alleppey - Cochin

Breakfast at the Hotel. Leave for Alleppey –dubbed as the Venice of the East for its intricate network of canals which is the life line of the locale. Arrive and embark Your private houseboat. These once used to transport rice are today converted into comfortable floating accommodation. Cruise through the palm fringed canals; watch the Paddy fields, village folk, relax on board hearing lullaby of the wind and waves. Enjoy a sumptuous Keralan Lunch on Board. Disembark by evening and drive back to Cochin. Overnight stay.

Day 10: Cochin Departure

Breakfast at the Hotel. Check out , be transferred to Cochin International airport to connect flight homebound.
