Overview

Day 1 : Cochin–Munnar (140 kms, 4 hrs)

Arrive Cochin and drive to Munnar – a breathtakingly beautiful haven of peace and tranquillity. South India's largest tea-growing region. Set at an altitude of 6000 ft. in Idukki district, Munnar was the favoured summer resort of the erstwhile British rulers in the colonial days. On arrival check into your hotel. Rest of the day is free to enjoy your resort. Overnight stay.

Day 2 : Munnar

Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed on Tour of Munnar. Drive around the tea plantations for the glimpses of colourful tea pluckers. Visit the scenic Mattupetty dam and the lakes of Munnar. Also see Tea Museum which explains the history of Tea in Munnar - a good opportunity to get authentic tea dust and related products. If time permits, visit Srishti TATA project - a venture of Tata Global Beverages for the rehabilitation of the differently abled. Enjoy some shopping time in this community centre and get some Strawberry jam (handmade), handmade paper or clothing naturally dyed on site. Overnight stay.

Day 3: Munnar–Kumarakom (180 kms, 4.5hrs)

Breakfast at the Hotel. Drive down to Kumarakom. The backwaters act as a vital waterway for the transport of goods and people. Cruise through the palm fringed canals enjoying the beauty of rural village life. On arrival check into your hotel. Rest of the day is free to enjoy your premises. Overnight stay.

Day 4: Kumarakom

Breakfast. While in Kumarakom you can visit one of a kind Bay Island Driftwood Museum. And the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. Canoe rides, Village walks and sunset cruise are some activities to name a few. Overnight stay.

Day 5: Kumarakom–Kovalam (185 kms, 4.5hrs)

Breakfast at the Hotel. Drive down to Kovalam. The world renowned beach in the South of Kerala. On arrival transfer to the Hotel. Rest of the day free on the Beach. Explore Hawa and Lighthouse beaches. Dinner at a Beach Restaurant – Payable Locally. Overnight stay.

Day 6: Kovalam

Leisurely have breakfast at the hotel. Visit Sree Padmanabhaswami Temple at Trivandrum. It is considered the world’s richest place of worship. And also the Horse Palace. Rest of the day free for independent activities –Vizhinjam Harbour is recommended for a stunning sunset. Overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure

Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Trivandrum Airport for the homebound journey.
